3:25 p.m. Saturday — Three people were injured, one seriously, in a two-vehicle crash in Fairview Township. Police believe the wreck happened when one of the drivers ran a stop sign at the Route 68 and Route 268 intersection.

A medical helicopter flew Kim Bissett, 66, of Cleveland, Ohio, to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. She suffered major head and neck injuries, police said.

Tina N. Kozma, 34, and Joseph B. Tantlinger, 35, both of Freeport, were taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital with reported minor head and neck injuries.

Police said Kozma was driving a car south on Route 268 and did not stop at a stop sign at the intersection. Her car struck the front driver’s side of the sport utility vehicle that Bissett was driving east on Route 68.

Tantlinger was a passenger in Kozma’s car. All three occupants were wearing seat belts.

Police cited Kozma for careless driving and a stop sign violation.

10:35 a.m. Friday — Andrew Berger, 45, of McKeesport, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.

Police said they stopped Berger for speeding and later found him with a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Charges are pending lab results.

1:22 a.m. July 6 — Mackenzie L. Hohn, 25, of Summit Township was arrested for drunken driving after she was stopped for crossing the lines of her travel lane and for speeding on Route 422 near McGrady Road in Clearfield Township.

Police said Hohn failed field sobriety tests and was taken for a breath test, which showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.144 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.

She is charged with driving under the influence, disregarding traffic lanes, speeding and careless driving.

Wednesday — Two sisters were charged in connection with a fight last month on Bessemer Avenue in Lyndora. Cited for disorderly conduct and harassment were Hali R. Campbell, 27, of Lyndora and Lisa M. Wishon, 30, of New Castle.

Wednesday — Police charged two Butler residents with trespassing at the Walmart at Butler Commons’ earlier this month. John D. Vedilago Jr., 40, and Bethany J. Hall, 33, were seen on store property July 3 and 10, respectively.

The store previously had given both defendants notice that they were not permitted there. Vedilago and Hall are charged with defiant trespass.

Tuesday — Samantha R. Eppinger, 20, of Slippery Rock was charged in a June 26 shoplifting incident at the Butler Commons’ Walmart. She is accused of stealing $132.81 in merchandise while at the self-checkout aisle.

Eppinger is charged with a misdemeanor retail theft.

Grove City Police

10 a.m. June 29 — Steven A. Johnson, 30, of Grove City was arrested on several arrest warrants out of Butler and Venango counties following a traffic stop in the borough.

He was placed in the Mercer County Jail for the warrants.
