Tom Toland, a past district governor, presents the “Heart of a Lion” awards to 2018 Butler High School graduates Alyssa Eyth and Tarik Taoufik during the Butler Lions Club’s 95th anniversary celebration June 22 at Trinity Lutheran Church. This humanitarian award is presented to non-Lion members of the community who unselfishly serve the needs of the community. Taoufik and Eyth are honor students and three-sport athletes who also made time to serve the communtiy and fellow students in numerous ways. Taoufik was a goodwill ambassador and tutored fellow students, while Eyth received the KDKA Extra Effort Award for her community involvement.
