The following defendants recent entered into plea agreements in Butler County Common Pleas Court:

Marc A. Latimore, 27, of New Castle, pleaded guilty Wednesday to endangering and threatening a pregnant woman during an assault-turned-shooting in Penn Township last November.

Latimore pleaded guilty to misdemeanor recklessly endangering another person and terroristic threats before Judge William Shaffer. The plea agreement calls for a sentence of time-served to 12 months in Butler County Prison, followed by 12 months of county probation.

Sentencing is set July 19.

Latimore was charged by police following an incident at a party on Winters Road in Penn Township. Police said he hit a pregnant woman during a drug deal and later fired three shots from a handgun while she was leaving the house. No one was struck by the gunfire.

Austin J. Newell, 21, of Rillton, Westmoreland County, was placed into the county Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program Wednesday, after being charged with pointing a loaded handgun at a Slippery Rock University student in January.

Newell was sentenced to 18 months of probation and ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation, pay restitution and complete 50 hours of community service.

He was charged by police after a confrontation Jan. 28, at University Village in Slippery Rock Township. Police say Newell was intoxicated when he pulled a gun during an argument with another man.

Shawn M. Bonetti, 43, pleaded guilty Tuesday to endangering three people after intentionally ramming a pickup truck into the back of a car last December, pushing the vehicle into a ditch.

Bonetti pleaded guilty to three counts of misdemeanor recklessly endangering another person before Judge William Shaffer.

Police charged Bonetti after a Dec. 30, 2017, case of road rage on Harmony Road near Branchton Road in Slippery Rock Township. Police said no one was injured in the incident.

Joseph R. Painter, 35, of Kittanning pleaded guilty Tuesday to conspiring with two others in a June 2017 home invasion.

Painter pleaded guilty to misdemeanor conspiracy to commit loitering and prowling at night before President Judge Thomas Doerr. The plea agreement calls for a sentence of 3 months on county probation and payment of fines, restitution and court costs. Scheduling is set Aug. 22.

Police charged Painter after a break-in in the 300 block of Petrolia Road, Fairview Township, in which Painter; Patrick C. Bookwalter, 36, of Rimersburg; and Michael L. Bure, 36, of Worthington, broke into a home in an attempt to steal the proceeds of a marijuana and THC wax business that was operating there.

Bookwalter told police that Painter planned the robbery and recruited him.

Bookwalter pleaded guilty July 25 to felony burglary and conspiracy, as part of an agreement that calls for a sentence of 5 to 10 years in state prison.

Bure is awaiting further court proceedings.

The residents of the home, Savannah M. Blust, 24, and Macklin C. Haye, 24, faced drug-related charges stemming from the break-in. Both pleaded guilty and were sentenced to county jail and probation.
