[naviga:h3]St. John’s hosts summer concert[/naviga:h3]

St. John’s Reformed Church, 494 Evans City Road, will host a summer concert beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday featuring the music of Kira Shcherbakova.

Shcherbakova is a Christian singer born in the Ukraine and has performed in hundreds of churches across the United States.

A love offering will be collected and refreshments will be served.

LYNDORA — Allison Park Church will host Serve Day, a service campaign to affect local communities Saturday.

Staff, and congregants will serve their communities through service projects at campus locations including the church’s Butler County campus at the American Legion Post, 150 Legion Memorial Lane.

Projects include creating teacher survival kits for local educators, providing free oil changes for single-parent families and participating in rehabilitation and beautification projects.

More than 1,000 individuals are expected to participate in this year’s Serve Day.

[naviga:h3]Rotary Park hosts KidsFest July 28[/naviga:h3]

Children in first through sixth grade can experience a unique summer day camp from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 28 at Rotary Park, West Cunningham and South Chestnut streets.

KidsFest provides children with a welcoming, safe camp, while offering the truths of the word of God.

KidsFest provides opportunities to explore and engage in a variety of activities as they learn that they are valued both by God and others.

[naviga:h3]Festival of Praise set for Sunday[/naviga:h3]

The Butler cluster of Catholic parishes invites all to the Festival of Praise: Hope-Healing-Reborn from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave.

Inspirational music will be mixed with dynamic prayer and witnesses. Prayer requests from attendees will receive special attention during the service.

There will also be prayers offered over interested individuals after the service. Fellowship and refreshments will follow in the church social hall.

[naviga:h3]Second Saturday concert slated[/naviga:h3]

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Second Saturday Concert at Friendship Presbyterian Community Center, 886 New Castle Road, Saturday will feature Pittsburgh musician Timothy Vaks in a concert of guitar and vocal music.

Dessert will be served starting at 6:30 p.m., and the concert will begin at 7 p.m. A freewill offering will be received.
