Thursday — Vehicles driven by Bonnie McCormick, 63, of Saxonburg and Damar Reitnanuer, 18, of New Castle collided at Hansen Avenue and Whitestown Road. The crash happened, according to police report, as McCormick was making a left turn.She was cited for careless driving.10:50 p.m. Tuesday — An Allegheny County woman landed in trouble following an altercation with her ex-boyfriend during a disturbance at a home on October Drive.The accused, Brenda A. Ainsworth, 49, of Sewickley, allegedly got into an argument with the victim, according to a police report.Police cited Ainsworth for harassment and criminal mischief.

9:57 a.m. Wednesday — A pickup truck hauling a trailer struck two utility poles along Route 8 at Mercer Road in Center Township.The crash happened, according to a police report, when David L. Himes, 51, of West Sunbury fell asleep while driving south in the truck. Neither Himes nor his passenger was injured but the pickup had to be towed. West Penn Power was notified about the damage to its property.Police cited Himes for careless driving, disregarding traffic lanes and driving a vehicle without valid inspection.Monday — Carl L. Comperatore, 71, of Sarver was charged with DUI stemming from an incident in March at the Chicora Medical Center in Donegal Township.Police found Comperatore March 13 after they were called for an intoxicated man trying to remove his wife from the facility, according to court documents. He admitted consuming four beers earlier that day.He subsequently failed field sobriety tests. A breath test showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.141 percent, documents said. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.In addition to DUI, Comperatore is charged with careless driving.Monday — Police charged a Pittsburgh man with being impaired on drugs and alcohol in connection with a hit-and-run crash last month in Brady Township.Police said 59-year-old Clarke J. Okinski wrecked his sport utility vehicle into a ditch on Staff Road, which damaged the owner's property. He drove away but the owner followed the suspect's vehicle, which was found parked at a home on Staff Road.The defendant was found at the nearby Moraine Campgrounds. He admitted he was the driver and “apologized for his actions,” according to a police affidavit.Results of a blood test showed he had benzoylecgonine, which is a metabolite of cocaine, in his system. Additionally, his blood-alcohol level was 0.102 percent.
