Wednesday — Mick D. Kendrick, 43, of Butler was charged with drunken driving stemming from a June 11 traffic stop on Hansen Avenue. Police said they stopped him about 9:10 p.m. for not having adequate rear lighting and for drifting out of his lane.

He was eventually taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test that showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.174 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.

Kendrick is charged with driving under the influence, careless driving, disregarding traffic lanes and a lighting violation.

1:27 a.m. Monday — Police caught Matthew R. Tilko, 30, of Butler after he tried to run from officers called for security lights and cameras going off in the area of Route 68 and South Duffy Road.

Tilko jumped a fence in his failed getaway attempt, according to a police report.

He is charged with loitering and prowling at night, defiant trespass, disorderly conduct, and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.

1:53 a.m. Thursday — Two teenagers were hurt, one seriously, when their car crashed into a tree along Marwood Road about one-mile east of Spiker Road in Winfield Township.

Emergency crews had to extricate the driver, Sean I. Connolly, 18, of Saxonburg, from the wreckage. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, with suspected serious injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Connolly’s passenger, Dakota L. Bryan, 18, of Butler, had an apparent minor injury but he refused medical treatment. He was wearing a seat belt.

Police cited Connolly for driving at an unsafe speed and a seat belt violation.

9:54 p.m. Wednesday — Cory M. Crider, 33, of Butler lost control of his pickup truck on Route 422 in Franklin Township and struck a retaining wall. The truck continued to travel and rolled onto its driver’s side, hitting a gas meter and the front porch of a home.

Crider was wearing a seat belt and he was not hurt. Police cited him for disregarding traffic lanes.

9:42 p.m. Monday — An unknown hit-and-run driver struck a trash can on Route 308 just north of Central Drive in Center Township.

Monday — Michael J. Kuczynski, 27, of Saxonburg was charged with being more than twice the state’s legal limit for alcohol stemming from a single-vehicle vehicle crash earlier this month in Jefferson Township.

Police said they were called about the wreck shortly before 1:30 a.m. June 9 on Ohara Road just north of Dinnerbell Road. They found Kuczynski in back of an ambulance.

He admitted that he had been “drinking throughout the day,” according to court documents.

Police took Kuczynski for a breath test that showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.183 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.

He is charged with driving under the influence, disregarding traffic lanes, driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving and reckless driving.

7:18 p.m. Sunday — A motorcyclist was injured when he crashed on Route 68 near O’Donnell’s Beer Distributor in Oakland Township. The driver, Charles Guttilla, no age or address given, was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh.

A police report issued Thursday provided no other information.

5:02 p.m. June 18 — A pickup truck driven by William Z. Davis, 33, of Butler rear-ended another pickup that was stopped on Route 356 to make a left turn in Jefferson Township. Sallie S. Paracca, 50, of Valencia was the other driver.

Police said no one was inured but both trucks had to be towed. Davis was cited for following too closely to another vehicle.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Mercer[/naviga:h3]

1 p.m. June 22 — Jane S. Wagener, 78, of Wexford was hurt when she lost control of her sport utility vehicle and struck a utility pole before rolling over and hitting a mail box along Route 19 in Fairview Township, Mercer County.

Fredonia volunteer firefighters had to extricate Wagener, who was wearing a seat belt, from her SUV. She was taken to UPMC Greenville with unknown injuries. Police cited her for disregarding traffic lanes.
