3:05 p.m. Wednesday — Vehicles driven by Amber M. Deal, 25, of Grove City and Nathan Spangler, 23, of New Salem, Fayette County, collided on New Castle Road. No one was injured but Deal’s vehicle had to be towed. She was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

11:50 a.m. June 14 — Vehicles driven by Kelly Snyder, 36, of Connoquenessing and Rachel Groscost, 42, of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, collided at Routes 356 and 68. No one was hurt but Snyder’s vehicle had to be towed.

3:56 a.m. Monday — Allen D. Frieson, 25, of Slippery Rock was arrested for drugged driving after he was stopped for running a stop sign at Edgewood and Gilmore avenues.

Police said Frieson showed signs of drug impairment and was arrested. He was searched, according to a police report, and found with suspected heroin, hypodermic needles, two spoons, prescription pills and a pipe containing what appeared to be drug residue.

He is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Tuesday — Justin P. Eddy, 25, of Slippery Rock was charged with taking an Xbox video game console last month from a home in Brady Township.

Police said the owner on May 17 reported the property, valued at $400, had been stolen from her home on Buttercup Lane. Investigators on June 14 interviewed Eddy, who admitted taking the Xbox while he was visiting the victim, according to court documents.

He also allegedly acknowledged during the investigation that he removed the serial number on the console.

Eddy is charged with theft, receiving stolen property, tampering with physical evidence and criminal mischief.

7:35 p.m. June 16 — A Beaver County woman was caught with a suspected drug-smoking pipe following a traffic stop on the 700 block of Dinnerbell Road in Jefferson Township.

Police said they found the pipe in a purse belonging to Melinda Coyle, 48, of Beaver Falls, who was a passenger in the car. She is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

The driver, Christopher G. Coyle, 36, of Beaver Falls, was cited for driving with a suspended license.

June 14 — Police arrested an Armstrong County man after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and her two children, both juveniles, during a domestic dispute at her home on Route 308 in Clay Township.

Cory D. Lash, 39, of Adrian was arraigned on three counts each of simple assault and harassment. He is free on $10,000 bail.

The defendant’s girlfriend told police that Lash hit her in the chest with one of his elbows, according to court documents. She said he also punched her two children. One of the children was taken by ambulance to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

June 13 — Robert F. Meany, 20, of East Brady was charged with taking $1,400 from an Oakland Township man for masonry work he never completed.

Meany is charged with a first-degree misdemeanor count of theft by deception.

Police said the victim was remodeling chimneys and found the defendant’s name on Craigslist. The two men April 6 signed an agreement for Meany to do the $2,800 project, according to court documents.

The victim made a $1,400 down payment for the work that was to start immediately and be completed by May 1.

The defendant “did very minimal work and did not complete the job,” documents said. Police said the homeowner unsuccessfully tried to contact Meany about the unfinished project.
