Demi Lovato

NEW YORK — Demi Lovato celebrated six years of sobriety in March, but her new song indicates she may no longer be sober.

The pop star released “Sober” on YouTube on Thursday, singing lyrics like: “Momma, I'm so sorry I'm not sober anymore/And daddy please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor.”

Lovato tweeted a link to the song with the words “My truth.”

The singer-actress struggled with an eating disorder, self-mutilation and other issues, entering rehab in 2010. She has spoken out about her battles with drugs and alcohol over the years, and she's become a role model for young women and men who have faced their own issues.

NEW YORK — Serena Williams says the conversation about stopping domestic abuse shouldn't just center around women, but men as well.

The tennis superstar says education about domestic abuse should start when men are young boys.

“I think expanding the conversation to men and expanding the conversation to young boys, it's so important,” she said in an interview on Wednesday.

“This is a human rights issue. We should all be treated the same. We should be treated equal. With domestic abuse, it doesn't care what color you are, what background you're from,” she continued.

“It's important to get the message out there — to our young men, to our boys, to our daughters — to let that new generation, and let the generation now know that, let's stop this. Let's change this. Let's create a better us.”

The 23-time Grand Slam singles champion is the ambassador for Allstate's Purple Purse foundation, which aims to help stop domestic abuse and what it calls the financial abuse that can accompany such relationships.

NEW YORK — Amy Schumer is used to getting glammed up for red carpets, TV shows and movies, but for her new podcast, it was all about comfort.

“Never will a bra be worn,” the Emmy-winning comedian, actress and author said in an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday.

“Amy Schumer Presents: 3 Girls, 1 Keith” launched Thursday and was recorded in her apartment with her comedian-best friends Rachel Feinstein, Bridget Everett and Keith Robinson. The original Spotify podcast will be widely available, and Spotify will have additional exclusive content.

The casual environment helped set the tone for the weekly podcast, which features Schumer and friends discussing love, relationships, sex, comedy, politics and more. Guests will appear each week; comedian Murray Hill and “Crazy-Ex Girlfriend” actress Rachel Bloom are featured on episode one and two.

The idea of doing a podcast started as a joke, Schumer said, and she had been thinking about doing it for a year.

Schumer has had major success on TV, in movies, on comedy tours in arenas where pop stars perform, and even Broadway, earning herself a Tony nomination this year.
