My brother vet

Recently a banner to honor my brother, William E. Lesnik, was added near Diamond Park.

William was killed in action during the Vietnam War. I was in high school and remember that tragic day so well, and still do to this day.

I had spent many years trying to get this tribute accomplished without success, due to the fact I didn’t have a picture of him in his uniform. This was becoming very frustrating to me.

With the help of my nephews, Dommie, Danny and D.J., and nieces Rosemarie, Linda, Sharon and Kelly, this dream has become a reality, and I am so grateful for their help in this tribute to my brother. I don’t know if they truly realize how much this has meant to me.

May we never forget the sacrifices our service men and women make to protect our country. God bless them. Thank you to my nephews and nieces for getting this tribute to my brother. I will eternally be grateful.
