Congestion headaches

Regarding “Southwest part of county still growing (May 31, Page 11. Also published under headline “Southwest portion of county still growing” in June 3 Cranberry Eagle).

According to Cranberry Township Manager Jerry Andree, Cranberry Township has had the largest population in 15 years since the 2010 census. It is great that it has created jobs and is a great place to live, work and play. However, has the township thought of all the traffic it has also grown by?

With the growing number of people coming to Cranberry Township, this also brings additional traffic issues. It is totally impossible to get from point A to point B unless you leave your home an hour earlier. It took me one hour to travel from my home to Mars which normally would take 20 minutes.

Drivers are all taking short cuts through our neighborhoods. It makes it impossible to back out of your driveway. Did you ever travel on Freedom Road or Rochester Road at rush hour? Maybe we should look at the traffic situation before we welcome new business or families to the community.
