Joseph and Joan Tomsey

Joseph and Joan Tomsey of Butler celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary June 17 with a reception at the East Butler Presbyterian Church with their family.

Tomsey married the former Joan Steighner on June 17, 1953, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Herman.

They have four children, Joe Tomsey of Butler, Judy Mahan of Butler, Jim Tomsey of Butler and Janice Mercatell of Cowansville.

They also have eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Tomsey retired from Agway after 35 years.

Mrs. Tomsey retired from Summit Academy.

The Tomseys are members of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Herman.
