Bill and Lucille Puryear

Bill and Lucille Puryear of Slippery Rock celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family picnic.

Puryear married the former Lucille Sankey on June 27, 1958, at Branchton United Methodist Church. They have three sons, William (Amy) Puryear of Hilliards, Joseph (Christine) Puryear of West Sunbury and James (Mary Beth) Puryear of Slippery Rock.

They also have five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Puryear was stationed at South Park with the 18th Anti-aircraft Artillery, 509th AAA Missile Battalion, one of six missile sites around Pittsburgh to protect its steel mills.He is self-employed in trucking.Mrs. Puryear is a housewife and bookkeeper.The Puryears are members of Branchton United Methodist Church.
