Reinheimer captures 2nd

Butler girls 4x800 relay unit snaps school mark

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Butler's Jena Reinheimer placed second in the discus with a throw of 132-1 feet at the New Balance Track and Field Nationals at North Carolina A&T University over the weekend.

Reinheimer was competing in the Emerging Elite Division.

Moniteau's Cambrie Campbell placed sixth in the javelin.

Butler's 4x800 meter relay team of Chesna Tomko, Maggie Welty, Erin Lemay and Liz Simms placed 11th with a time of 9 minutes, 15.81 seconds. It was the unit's fastest time of the season and fastest in school history.

The Golden Tornado girls 4x400 relay team of Maddie Tonini, Tomko, Welty and Simms placed 15th with a time of 3:55.72.

On the boys side, Butler's Brett Brady, Jake Wolfrum, Doug Kostelansky and Noah Beveridge placed 11th in the championship division of the distance medley relay. They ran a time of 10:17.79.

Beveridge had a split time of 4:12.52 in his 1,600-meter leg of that race. The Syracuse-bound distance runner also placed 15th in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:13.54.

Seneca Valley's Zach Gehm was 16th in the boys javelin and 20th in the shot put. Butler Catholic's C.J. Singleton was 16th in the boys mile run.
