Butler police are investigating a report of shots fired in the city's Island neighborhood.
A man about 1:15 p.m. reportedly fired multiple shots from a pistol in the area of Negley Avenue. No one was apparently injured.
Police said they found at least one spent casing in that same area.
One man was placed in handcuffs and detained in connection with the investigation. Police said they were still trying to identify him.
He could face charges including reckless endangerment.
