A woman was able to walk away from a rollover accident Tuesday morning on Interstate 79.

JACKSON TWP — A woman was able to walk away from a rollover accident Tuesday morning on Interstate 79.

The single-vehicle accident occurred at about 8:20 a.m. Tuesday in the northbound lanes at mile-marker 86 just before exit 87 in the township. According to crews at the scene, the driver was traveling on a straight stretch of road when she lost control. The vehicle overturned before coming to rest upright on the side of the highway.

The woman was able to walk from the vehicle to the ambulance and was taken to a hospital to be evaluated. Officials said the injuries were minor.

Crews from the Harmony Fire District and emergency services responded to the incident, which was cleared within the hour.
