Joe DeNardo dies at age 87
Iconic Pittsburgh weatherman Joe DeNardo has died at the age of 87.
His death was announced this morning by WTAE, the station he worked for 35 years. DeNardo, a chief meteorologist, is known for his 1994 campaign “Joe Said It Would.”
The Moon Township resident retired from WTAE in 2005 after 35 years and also worked at KDKA for 10 years. He was also well-known for his community work including Project Bundle-Up and Special Olympics.
