The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department reminds residents the office will be open Thursday, which is Flag Day.

Residents can visit the Alameda Park office between 8:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Monday through Friday to buy pool passes and sign up for swim lessons, register for the swim team or Camp Alameda, or rent park shelters.

[naviga:h3]Alzheimer’s patient support group set[/naviga:h3]

Paramount Senior Living in Seven Fields is hosting a monthly support group from 2 to 3 p.m. on the last Friday of each month for Alzheimer’s patients.

The group seeks to support and teach caregivers in their efforts to help their loved ones suffering from the disease. Each month will focus on a different topic. June’s topic is “dealing with stress as a caregiver.”
