Vacation Bible Schools

The following churches have announced dates for vacation Bible schools:

n First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will have vacation Bible School from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. June 25 to 29. It’s open to any child from age 3 to sixth-grade graduates. The theme is FROG (Fully Rely On God). Register by calling the church office at 724-283-2378.

- First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, 5825 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, is taking registrations now for Summer Blast Camp, which will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 9-13 for children from age 4 to grade five.

In addition to lots of fun activities, songs, snacks and games, the children will bring nonperishable food items each day that will be donated to the Lighthouse Foodbank.

- Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., Valencia, will have a vacation Bible school, “Shipwrecked! Rescued By Jesus!” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 24 to 28. Children ages 4 and older are eligible to attend.

Pre-registration deadline is June 18. Pre-registration is required to guarantee crew placement. Walk-ins will only be admitted if staffing is available.

- Oak Hill Alliance Church, 2782 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township, will have vacation Bible School from 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 11 to 15.

The theme for the week is “Created to Do Good Works”.

There is no charge and no offering will be taken. A nonperishable food collection during the week will benefit Butler County food banks.

- Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, will have vacation Bible school, “Shipwrecked,” beginning at 6 p.m. June 18 to 22. Details are available at www.mars-up.org.

Announcements of vacation Bible schools should be received by the Community Department no later than two weeks in advance of the event. Entries should include the name and phone number of the person providing the information and be sent to Community, Butler Eagle, P.O. Box 271, Butler, PA 16003, or community@butlereagle.com.
