One person was hurt in a rear-end crash about 8:40 a.m. on East Jefferson Street in Butler.

One person was hurt in a rear-end crash about 8:40 a.m. on East Jefferson Street in Butler.

Both cars were traveling east near Third Street when a Kia Optima struck the back of a Chevrolet Impala. The driver of the Kia, a woman, suffered a minor injury. Her two passengers, one a child, were not injured,

The other driver, Ryan Bair, 24, of Butler, was not hurt. He was headed home from work. He was about 100 yards from his house.

Police said they believe the woman was distracted, possibly from the sun in her eyes.
