ADAMS TWP — Mars High School German Club’s Fantasy Soccer Team took second place in the Goethe Institute’s Bundesliga Total! Fantasy Soccer Competition.

Members of the “SportVerein Mars” team answered questions in German about specific match-ups in the German Professional Soccer League; then, made predictions based on German-language highlight films. The students competed against 80 teams from schools in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

SportVerein Mars, captained by senior Daniel Feathers, finished the season one point behind the first place winner. For its second place finish, the team received a Borussia Dortmund soccer jersey, autographed by Christian Pulisic, an American soccer phenom from Hershey.
