KC girls track has perfect year

Becca Pennington won the 1,600-meter run and the 3,200-meter run and the Karns City girls track and field team also got big efforts from Hannah Knoll, Shaney Cheesman, Sara Knox, Alexis Fennell and Kaley Byerly to finish the dual meet season at 8-0 with an 81-69 win over Redbank Valley.

“They showed a lot of determination and guts this evening with the events they knew they had to win,” said Karns City girls track and field coach Roger King. “They have stood out this year in their respective events and this has been a very tough group that works hard. It has been a privilege this year to coach and guide them in their goals and efforts.”
