The Butler Middle School Art Department will host an Empty Bowls event from 5 to 7:30 p.m. May 16 at the Butler Middle School, 225 E. North St. This is a charity project to fight hunger in our community.

Sixth-grade students at the middle school hand made bowls out of clay and painted them with colorful glaze. All bowls are food safe. The bowls will be for sale at the event.

All donations from the bowl sales and event will be donated to the Kids’ Weekend Backpack Program to help families in the Butler School District with child-friendly easily prepared meals for the weekend.
