Cops disperse party, arrest pair

Two girls were arrested after report of walking down the middle of Dutchtown Road and stopping traffic.

BUTLER TWP — Officers dispersed what they assume was an underage drinking party and arrested two young women in the 100 block of Dutchtown Road in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Officers responded at 1:36 a.m. to a report of people walking in the middle of Dutchtown Road and stopping traffic.

Lt. Matthew Pearson said when officers arrived in the area, no one was visible in the street but a number of individuals could be seen at a nearby house.

When officers approached, “numerous people fled on foot,” Pearson said.

The officers were able to detain Caitlin R. DeFelice, 19, of Butler and Kali A. Ralston, 20, of Rochester, Beaver County in the area where young women were reported to be stopping traffic on Dutchtown Road.

Pearson said the women did not admit to walking in the road or stopping traffic.

Both women were charged with the summary offense of purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of alcoholic beverages and released to an adult.
