4:41 p.m. Wednesday — Kelsee A. Thompson, 25, was arrested on charges she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend during a domestic dispute at her apartment on the 300 block of West Jefferson Street.

The victim, who was bleeding from the mouth and nose and had blood on his shirt, according to court documents, told police that after he and Thompson got into an argument she struck him about the face.

She was arraigned on a charge of simple assault. She was placed in Butler Country Prison on $1,500 bond following arraignment.

12:04 a.m. Wednesday — Andrew D. Myers, 31, was arrested after he allegedly ran from police investigating a call for suspicious activity at the parking lot of a convenience store on the 400 block of West Jefferson Street.

Police said they found Myers and a woman in a car that reportedly had been parked at the lot for some time. The defendant gave officers a bogus name, according to court documents.

But when they checked Myers’ wallet, they found identification with his name. When officers attempted to detain him, he ran off, documents said, but was quickly caught.

Police said they had to struggle with the suspect before placing him in handcuffs.

Myers was later arraigned on charges of resisting arrest and false identification to law enforcement authorities, and placed in Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.

10:09 a.m. Friday — One person was hurt when vehicles driven by Donna J. Edmiston, 56, of Butler and Vanessa M. Easley, 24, of Indianola, Allegheny County collided at Hansen Avenue and Whitestown Road.

Edmiston was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for unspecified injuries. Both vehicles had to be towed.

Police are asking that anyone who witnessed the crash to call them at 724-285-9600.

4:25 p.m. Wednesday — A Crawford County man was hurt in a suspected drunken driving crash on Interstate 79 in Worth Township.

The wreck happened when a car driven by Jeffrey G. Crivelli, 56, of New Castle struck the back of a pickup truck driven by Thomas L. Tornabene, 63, of Espyville. Tornabene, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered an apparent minor injury.

A police report said Crivelli was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. No other information was immediately available.

April 24 — Police charged a Louisiana man with being more than twice the state’s legal limit for alcohol stemming from a March traffic stop in Muddy Creek Township

Troy A. Boudreaux, 53, of Breaux Bridge was pulled over about 11:20 p.m. March 25 for weaving in his lane on Route 422, according to court documents. He subsequently failed field sobriety tests and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test.

Toxicology results showed Boudreaux’s blood-alcohol level was 0.185 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.

He is charged with driving under the influence, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes, following too closely to another vehicle and careless driving.
