JEFFERSON TWP — HIS Kids Christian School, 650 Saxonburg Road, will host a visitation night from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Classrooms will be open and teachers will be on hand.

HIS Kids Christian School has classes for preschool through sixth grade.

[naviga:h3]Star Wars meeting set at library[/naviga:h3]

CRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Public Library, 2525 Rochester Road will have a Star Wars Meet and Greet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

There will be games and crafts. Star Wars characters will stop by from noon to 1 p.m. for trivia and photo opportunities. The event is for all ages.

[naviga:h3]Grove Fest benefits fire company[/naviga:h3]

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Grove at Slippery Rock will host the Grove Fest fundraiser from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. All proceeds will benefit the Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company.

There will be local food vendors; a DJ; and a decathlon of events such as a 1k fun run, corn hole and dodge ball. Entertainment, an inflatable obstacle course, face painting and other activities will be offered.

[naviga:h3]Slime, flowers on center’s agenda[/naviga:h3]

BRADY TWP — Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2951 Prospect Road, will have the following programs:

6 to 8 p.m. May 9, “Family Science Night: The Science of Slime.” Children in second through sixth grade will explore the science of slime. The program is free, but registration is required by May 4. To register, visit events.dcnr.pa.gov or call 724-794-6011.

2 to 4 p.m. May 13, Spring Wildflower Walk. Celebrate the arrival of spring with a wildflower walk. The program will include a very brief indoor introduction followed by a walk through the forest.
