OAKLAND, Calif. — Former Slippery Rock University pitcher Lou Trivino was called up to the Oakland A’s Tuesday and has already thrown four scoreless innings.

Recalled from Class AAA Nashville Tuesday, Trivino threw a scoreless ninth inning in his team’s win over the Chicago White Sox. Trivino tossed three scoreless innings Wednesday night, recording four strikeouts and getting the win in a 14-inning, 12-11 win over Chicago. He allowed two hits.
