Anthony Grieco's four goals led Mars' boys lacrosse team to a 12-11 victory over defending WPIAL Class AAA champion Peters Township at the Mars Athletic Complex Thursday night.

The Indians (7-2) entered the game having won seven straight contests.

Also scoring for the Planets were Andrew Moyer (2), Cade Hetzler (2), Owen Corsi, Garrett Reinke, Michael Doyle and Brendan Moyer.

Andrew Moyer added two assists.

Mars, the WPIAL's Class AA defending champion, improved to 6-1 with the win.

South Fayette 10, Freeport 9 — Two goals in the final minute pulled Freeport to within one goal of the Lions, but the Yellowjackets narrowly missed tying the game with a last-second shot.

Sean Fennel led the 'Jackets with four scores, Garret Schaffhauser added three goals and Brennon Riley had two.

The loss dropped Freeport's record to 5-3.
