Mrunali Luke

[naviga:h3]Gaiser Center names director[/naviga:h3]

Dr. Mrunali Luke was recently named medical director at The Ellen O’Brien Gaiser Addiction Center in Butler.

Luke, who assumed her duties Feb. 1, will oversee delivery of health care to the center’s inpatient nonhospital drug free and outpatient drug free programs.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida and attended medical school at the Medical University of Lublin.

Luke is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and has practiced in the field of addiction recovery since 2014.

[naviga:h3]Slippery Rock man joins Mars Bank[/naviga:h3]

Mars — Bryan McClaine of Slippery Rock recently joined Mars Bank as an assistant vice president, mortgage originator.

McClaine, who has over 20-years experience as a Realtor and educator, will be responsible for generating residential mortgage business in Mercer and Butler counties.

“Bryan is a great addition to our mortgage team,” said Shawn Proper, Mars Bank senior vice president, mortgage and consumer lending. “He understands the mortgage process from all sides — the customer, realtor and lender perspective.” 

[naviga:h3]Reports: Wells Fargo to be fined $1 billion[/naviga:h3]

NEW YORK — The New York Times and other news outlets are reporting that federal regulators plan to fine Wells Fargo as much as $1 billion as early as Friday for abuses tied to its auto lending and mortgage businesses.

The potential $1 billion fine would be largest ever imposed by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the bank’s main federal regulator, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
