I was quite dismayed when I learned of the young lady that was jailed for threatening Butler County District Attorney Dick Goldinger.

This is the last man that should be singled out for abuse and threats. It’s not like he’s the kind of DA that would refuse anyone the chance to seek justice from their office.

On the contrary, it’s been my experience that the DA’s office treats everyone the same: with respect, understanding and concern. Dick isn’t the kind of guy that would carry a mindless grudge against anyone. I mean, what kind of twisted miscreant would do that?

Once you are raised to the stature this man has achieved, you put aside petty personal grudges and act accordingly. He always greets me with a smile, as does all his staff. I took in Christmas presents for the entire staff this last year, they were so nice!

These are the kinds of people that appreciate such things as signs of endearment and respect. These people are committed to the idea of “liberty and justice for all.”

Mr. Goldinger, in his position, is beyond reproach. People need to catch themselves before they do something stupid.
