I don’t know what Bible verses Carol Polite is reading (“Righteousness,” April 13), but state Rep. Daryl Metcalfe is no Christian.

A Christian shows mercy, love and forgiveness, treats his neighbor as he wants to be treated. (“Love your neighbor as yourself” — Matthew 22:39).

Metcalfe shows nothing but aversion/hate for the gays, political opponents, the students of the Florida massacre, or anyone that disagrees with his policies. These are just a few examples.

Come on, people. Butler County deserves better than Daryl Metcalfe. We need representatives on both sides who are willing to work for all citizens.
