William P. Hetrick

IN MEMORIAM

In memory

of my beloved father, William P. Hetrick, who passed away on April 17, 1978.

Since your passing, the last forty years have been most trying without you. Up until that time, I thought the people surrounding me would stay forever; however, when I lost you and started to lose others one by one, I then truly understood that life is definitely complicated and can change without notice. I have to live in this world the best way that I can, because I only get one chance, one life until I join the ones that I have lost. As long as my heart beats, you are with me. When it stops beating, I will be with you. Instantly, I will know you because of the strong Father-Daughter relationship we once shared. Until then, I will continue to count my blessings that you were “my Daddy”.

You will remain the brightest shining star in the darkest midnight skies. As I look up to the Heavens, I will silently recite: “You’re gone dear Daddy, gone from my sight. You are away from sorrow, cares and pain. May you rest peacefully, dear Daddy, until we meet again.”

Benny, your grandchildren and others miss you so, including your great grandchildren who only know you through the many stories they have been told of your existence.

As time marches on, know you will always be loved and missed. Life is short. Heaven is forever!
