Connoquenessing Elementary School students were evacuated from the school after a strong smell of gas was detected Tuesday morning, but students in grades 1-4 will be back on campus by 1:15 p.m. – and they will be dismissed from Connoquenessing's campus at the normal time.

Brian White, Butler school superintendent, said the 250 students were bused to the Intermediate High School and will remain there until after lunch.

No students were injured.
