BUTLER TWP — The Local Artists Mini-Series at Butler County Community College will feature cellist Robin Hasenpflug, and Friends at 2 p.m. Sundayin the Succop Theater on campus.

Selections will be drawn from the works of Puccini, Beethoven, Schubert and Handel Halvorsen.

[naviga:h3]‘Tumble Inn’ has returned[/naviga:h3]

LYNDORA — “Tumble Inn Revisited” is planned for Saturday at the Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Ave.

The evening will include dinner and dancing to music by DJs Dave Martin and Ron Marowitz.

Doors open at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and dancing at 8 p.m.

Harmony native and co-author of “Bloomers Island: The Great Garden Party” Cynthia Wylie will be appearing at two events coming up.

She will be at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, and at Barnes & Noble in Cranberry Township at 11 a.m. April 28.

The book, which was recently published by Rodale Kids, a division of Penguin and Random House Books, promotes gardening, eating vegetables, and a healthy lifestyle.

It is targeted to children under age 10, and is being distributed nationwide.

NEW WILMINGTON — Westminster College Celebrity Series will conclude its 50th anniversary season with “The McCartney Years,” the premiere Paul McCartney concert experience, at 7:30 p.m. April 28 in Orr Auditorium.

[naviga:h3]Pioneer Players stage ‘Harvey’[/naviga:h3]

BUTLER TWP — Butler County Community College’s Pioneer Players will present Mary Chase’s classic play “Harvey” as the spring production.

“Harvey” follows the antics of Elwood P. Dowd, a gregarious social pariah, and his pal Harvey ... an imaginary 6-foot-tall white rabbit.

The cast includes Tyler Pollock as Dowd, Meghan Hyatt as Veta Louise Simmons, Gabrielle Lisella as Myrtle Mae Simmons, Alyssa Martin as Ethel Chauvenet, Mackenzie Elmer as Nurse Kelly, Adam Seybert as Wilson, Lucas Franklin as Dr. Sanderson, Wolfgang Gaiser as Dr. Chumley, Victoria Allen as Betty Chumley, Jacob Hetrick as Judge Gaffney, Samantha Tanner as Ms. Johnson and Shawn Covington as E.J. Lofgren.

Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. April 26 and 27 and at 2 p.m. in the Succop Theater on campus.

[naviga:h3]Maridon hosts India films[/naviga:h3]

The Maridon Museum has announced three movies to be featured in the 2018 India Film Series.

Exploring the life of a housewife struggling with language barriers, the challenges of a former wrestler and his daughters, and the love affair of a lonely wife of a newspaper editor, the Film Series illustrates the full range of Indian culture and heritage.

The schedule is: “English Vinglish,” April 20; “Dangal,” May 3; and “Charulata,” May 17.

Shows begin at 6 p.m. at the Maridon, 322 N. McKean St.

[naviga:h3]Bach Choir gives concerts[/naviga:h3]

The Bach Society under the direction of David T. Mruk will present the choral performance “Sing As One” twice in May.

The concert will be given May 4 at Center Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock and on May 5 at Tower Presbyterian Church in Grove City.

Both concerts begin at 7:30 p.m., and admission is free.

[naviga:h3]Banjo club to perform[/naviga:h3]

JEFFERSON TWP — The Pittsburgh Banjo Club is scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. April 19 in the Haven I Dining Room, 112 Marwood Road, of Concordia Retirement Living.

The Banjo Club, founded in 1988, includes banjos, trumpets, tubas and bass and play music from the 1920s and 1930s, polkas and Dixieland.
