I was very pleased to see the decision for Butler County United Way to merge with the Southwestern Pennsylvania United Way. Having these organizations merge will allow the increase of partnerships and will ultimately enhance and strengthen our community.

Projects like the book program that provides more than 700 books to children will promote reading in Butler County. We will also have children from Butler County attending the annual Build and Bike at Heinz Field to promote health and wellness, and also teamwork.

I believe that the joining of these two entities will strengthen the entire organization and serve our communities in a much larger capacity. Keeping this organization strong will allow us to have a greater impact on our community. We at Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau support this United Way and look forward to working with them in the future to serve the region.
