Gavin Phillips threw five shutout innings and Knoch scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth inning for a 4-2 win over Riverside in high school baseball action Wednesday afternoon.

Ethan Sloane drove in the game-winning run for the Knights.

Alex Altmire had a RBI double and Isaac Love was 2-for-3 with a RBI and run scored.

Jack Bartek got the win in relief. Andy Pipes earned the save.

Emma Fox won the 100- and 300-meter hurdles and Chloe Dittman won the 400 and the discus as the A-C Valley girls beat Clarion 85-55.
