Mars girls headed to state basketball championship game
Mars' girls basketball team manhandled Archbishop Carroll from the start Saturday, claiming a 52-39 state semifinal win at State College High School.
Junior guard Tai Johnson scored 20 points, Lauren Wasylson added 13 and Alek Johnson 11.
Mars led 11-4 after one quarter and 25-13 at halftime.
The Planets will play in the Class 5A state title game at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Hershey.
