GREENVILLE — Cranberry Township resident Christian Aldrich, a sophomore on the Thiel College baseball team, has been named Presidents’ Athletic Conference Player of the Week.

Aldrich hit .538 with four doubles, two home runs, eight RBI and five runs scored for the Tomcats last week.

SLIPPERY ROCK — Grove City High School graduate and Slippery Rock University pitcher Matt Gordon has been named PSAC West Pitcher of the Week.

SRU catcher Christian Porterfield has been named PSAC West Athlete of the Week.

Gordon is 2-0 this season with a 0.75 earned run average, 10 strikeouts and no walks in 12 innings pitched.

Porterfield hit .545 (12 for 22) in five games last week, collecting nine runs scored, six RBI and two home runs.
