Town Crier

VA Butler Healthcare hosted a town-hall meeting at the Abie Abraham VA Health Care Center on Wednesday, which was attended by about 25 people.

Several complaints were made regarding parking, signs and walking in the facility, to which officials said improvements are continuing.

VA officials said they are working on the inside of the building improving flow and working to bring more specialty services to the facility.

Officials also said at the old campus in Butler Township, renovation plans for Building Two continue, which will add a prayer chapel and new kitchen.

It was also revealed that the application deadline for the new permanent director is closed, after the job had been posted and candidates are being reviewed.

Sharon Coyle, nurse executive, revealed that Rhonda Mough, chief of staff, is stepping down, effective March 23, and will become a primary care provider for the facility. She will be replaced by interim chief of staff Kristen Veraldi from Pittsburgh.
