Plans developing for Seven Fields' annual community carnival

Seven Fields' annual community carnival is set June 7 to 9 with a new amusement vendor.

The three-day carnival will be at the community park with Lisko Family Midway Amusements, Tom Smith, borough manager, said at Monday's meeting.

Last year, the carnival was held over Labor Day weekend, Aug. 30 to Sept. 4, and used Bartlebaugh Amusements. The borough used Lisko Family Midway Amusements for the first three years of the carnival, Smith said.

The date for the carnival changes periodically as the borough is at the mercy of the carnival vendor's availability, Smith said.

The carnival includes rides, games, food vendors and live entertainment in the evenings. Officials hope to bring back the bands Dancing Queen and Velveeta since they were a big hit last year, Smith said.

The council also approved fireworks for the carnival to be done by Pyrotecnico for $10,500.
