Butler's Pullman Park focus of new book

After many years of researching and collecting the 83-year history of Butler’s Pullman Park, from its inception through 2017, Schnur has brought together the history of the park and first-hand accounts of the events that have formed its history.

The chapters are written by Butler Eagle Sports Editor John Enrietto, as well as Patrick Reddick, Gary Shingleton and Dess Schnur.

More than 30 memories from players, coaches, fans, umpires, leaders and local residents are included.

Numerous photographs and a timeline are also featured.

The book is available through April 14 to order at presale rates of $22 for softcover and $32 for hardcover.

Books will be ready for shipping and pickup about May 1.

The Senator Walter Lowrie House Museum at 123 W. Diamond St. will be open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning March 21.
