YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown State University women's soccer program is hosting an elite soccer academy and skills clinic in April and May.

The Penguins Elite Soccer Academy is designed for serious club and middle school players seeking to play at the next level of competitive soccer. Sessions cost $20 each and run each Thursday from April 5 through May 31.

The Spring Skills Clinic is geared for boys and girls ages 6-12 and runs each Tuesday from April 3 to May 29. Cost of each session is $20.

Hunter/trapper education courses are scheduled in the area for coming weeks. Traditional classroom training is free.

Upcoming courses include:

March 24 — Parker City VFD/Community Center, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; Evans City Sportsman Club, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

March 31 — North Butler County Hunting & Fishing Club, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

April 7 — Happy Hunters Sportsman's Club, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
