CHAPEL ON THE HILL

The fourth in a series of Emlenton area Lenten services is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Chapel on the Hill, 6208 Emlenton-Clintonville Road. The Rev. COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., hosts the community Lenten service at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The People for Peace study group meets at 11 a.m. today in the assembly room.

FAITH UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The Rev. Tom Clyde leads the service for the third Sunday of Lent at Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main Ext. Betty Clyde is the accompanist.

FIRST BAPTIST

Sunday’s service schedule at First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., includes lunch after morning worship and an additional worship service at 1 p.m.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

The Sunday school and staff has a soup luncheon after the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St. The event supports youths going to the 2018 Youth Gathering in Houston. Donations can be made to the First English Lutheran Church Youth Gathering fund.

The youths have a pool party at 2 p.m. Sunday at Conley Resort, 740 Pittsburgh Road.

The church hosts the Butler Area Lutheran Ministries for a 6 p.m. supper and a 7 p.m. worship service Wednesday.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

The fellowship and service committee of Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., meets at 10 a.m. Friday in the ladies’ lounge.

Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank, is open from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday and from 5 to 7 p.m. March 15.

The finance committee meets at 6:30 p.m. and the worship and music committee meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The congregation participates in Lenten worship with BALM churches Wednesday at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St. Supper is at 6 p.m. and the worship service is at 7 p.m.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., assembles community lunches at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in the fellowship hall.

The handbell choir rings at worship Sunday.

Tuesdays are the covenant prayer day for the Pastor Nominating Committee.

Reservations for the March 19 senior night out are due Wednesday.

The food request for March is noodles or tuna.

Easter lily orders and payment are due Wednesday. The lilies are for the Easter celebration and available for the donor after the service.

The March mission offering in March benefits the Butler County Relief Initiative.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

The cause of the month at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing, is the Butler Emergency Relief Initiative, sponsored by the United Way of Butler County.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

Weekend services at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, include Holy Communion. The outreach ministry team leads the 2 p.m. worship service at Saxony Health Center, 223 Pittsburgh St., Saxonburg.

The church council meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Centennial Hall.

The Stars group meets at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Abba’s House for a Bible study with the Rev. Keller.
