Shaner, Graham win 2 divisions

Jared Shaner and Donnie Graham won the scratch and handicapped divisions of the Butler Area USBC Doubles Tournament held recently at Belmont II lanes.

Their handicapped score was 1,574, beating out Robert and Carin Durr by by 16 pins. Dennis Morrow and Dan Persic of Petrolia were third, 32 pins behind.

Placing second in the scratch division were Henry Austin and Brian Marcellus of Renfrew. Their score of 1,473 was five pins behind Shaner and Graham.

Placing third in the scratch division were Mike Rouda and Mike Dunkerley of Butler with a 1,452.

In other categories:

Kim Schmook and Tanya Nagel of Mars won the women’s handicapped doubles division with a 1,407. Amy Creeks and Heather Paul of Butler were second at 1,325, Judith Smith and Michele Lantz of Renfrew third at 1,324.

Peggy Seydel and Barbara Morgan of Prospect won the women’s scratch doubles division with a 1,080. Schmook and Nagel were second at 1,077, Creeks and Chadwick Beck of Harmony third at 1,011.

Kevin Richardson of Slippery Rock rolled an 845 to win the Open Senior Singles handicapped for ages 50-65. Robert Durr of Ellwood City was second at 822, Leo Gayle of Evans City third at 781.

John Kriley of Slippery Rock won the Open Senior Singles handicapped for age 66-over with a 784. Richard Bower of Ford City was second with a 726, Dalton “Skip” Weyand of Valencia third with a 709.

Ruth Geller of Mars won Women’s Senior Singles handicapped, age 50-65, with a 665. Deborah Daniluk of Renfrew was second with 659, Denise Herbe of Butler third with 646.

Janice Rabbitt of Butler won the Women’s Senior Singles, handicapped, age 66-over, with a 669. Doris Austin of Butler and Joy Karen of Renfrew tied for second with 632.
