Pens get Brassard from Senators
The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired veteran center Derick Brassard from the Ottawa Senators for defenseman Ian Cole, goaltender Filip Gustafson and the Pens' No. 1 draft pick in 2018, TSN's Darren Dreger reported Friday afternoon.
Brassard has 18 goals and 20 assists in 50 games for Ottawa this season.
The Penguins had been looking for a third-line center and were involved in trade conversation with a few teams.
