Knoch, CWNC swimmers split meet
Knoch's varsity swim teams split a meet with Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic Thursday night, the boys winning 102-55, the girls losing 96-87.
Both Knight teams are 5-6 overall, 3-3 in section meets.
Zachary Wilson and Braden Zukowski won two events each for the Knoch boys. Brooke and Brittney Carmazzi won two events each, and participated on two winning relays, for the CWNC girls.
The WPIAL diving meet is Feb. 23 at South Park High School. The WPIAL swimming championships are March 1-2 at the University of Pittsburgh's Trees Pool.

Private Schools
Derek Butterworth had 23 points and five steals in leading the First Baptist Christian School boys basketball team to a 47-35 win over Aquinas Academy.
Aaron Drake had 13 points and 10 rebounds, Ben Drake 12 rebounds.
FBCS also defeated the Slippery Rock Homeschoolers recently, 52-47, as Butterworth had 25 points and five treys, Aaron Drake 10 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and seven steals. Ben Drake had 10 rebounds.
