EVANS CITY — The Evans City Historical Society will host Jim Lucot, Seneca Valley teacher, when he presents “Trip to Poland with Holocaust Survivor Howard Chandler” at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 26 in the community room of Evans City Library, 204 S. Jackson St.

[naviga:h3]Nixon Preschool registration open[/naviga:h3]

Registration is open for the 2018-2019 school year at Nixon Preschool, 334 Airport Road. The program is for 3-year-olds and 4- to 5-year-olds.

[naviga:h3]Bowl for Kids’ Sake helps YMCA[/naviga:h3]

The 24th Annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake will be from noon to 3 p.m. March 4 at the Butler Family Bowlaway Fun Center, 540 Fairground Hill Road.

Sponsored by the Butler YMCA, this fundraising event benefits its youth mentoring programs, including Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Butler County.

Team names and players dressed as their favorite fairy tale characters will add to the theme “Make Magic Possible.”

Seniors for Safe Driving will host the following classes for those age 55 and older:

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 6, Tower Presbyterian Church, 248 S. Broad St., Grove City

9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 7, Slippery Rock Senior Center, Slippery Rock

5:30 to 9:30 p.m. March 13, Kelly Chevrolet, 252 Pittsburgh Road, Butler

9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 26 and 27, Passavant Retirement Community, 401 S. Main St., Zelienople

8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 30, Butler Memorial Hospital

Seniors completing the course will receive a 5 percent reduction in their automobile insurance premiums for three years.
