Flood warning in effect for Butler County
The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a flood warning for Butler, Lawrence, Armstrong and Indiana counties. It is in effect from 8:30 p.m. Thursday until 2:30 a.m. Friday.
Radar Thursday night indicated heavy rain of up to 1 inch. Some areas that could include Cranberry Township, Zelienople, Butler and Lyndroa, according to the weather service.
A flood watch remains in effect for the region until Friday afternoon.
Fire departments in Butler County were responding to flooded basement calls Thursday night in Buffalo Township and Adams Township and a flooded road call for Old Farm Road in Cranberry Township.
