Ariana Volkar
MARS — Mars freshman Ariana Volkar received four 2018 Northwest Region-at-Large Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. In the painting category, Volkar received a Gold Key for her work “Sea Panthers,” a Silver Key for “Jellyfish Lament” and an honorable mention for “Star Cats.” In the drawing and illustration” category, she received a Silver Key for her piece “Skeleton and Roses.”
