A-C Valley blows past Moniteau in 4th quarter

22-3 run helps Falcons to win

The A-C Valley girls basketball team closed the game on a 22-3 run after Moniteau had rallied to tie the game early in the fourth quarter as the Falcons beat the visiting Warriors, 56-35, Tuesday night.

Moniteau had clawed back from an early 11-2 deficit to knot the score at 34-34.

But Ellie Thompson scored 10 of her team-leading 20 points in the run to lift A-C Valley.

Emma Bair led Moniteau with 21 points, eight rebounds and four blocked shots.

Cami McNany added 10 points for A-C Valley.

Ben Drake had eight points and 21 rebounds, Derek Butterworth eight points and seven assists, Nate Errington 12 rebounds.

Rifle

Andrew Arbanas, Jason Hansotte, Tiffany Carlson, Gabe Slagle, Chase Runyan, Riley Rodgers and Sam Lambermont each shot 100s as Butler beat Plum 799-66x to 790-42x.
