Bonniebrook Road closed after one-vehicle accident
SUMMIT TWP — Bonniebrook Road between Herman Road and Brinker Road will be closed for several hours after a pickup truck crashed into a utility pole.
The driver of the truck, an unidentified woman, was being treated for a possible leg injury.
The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. when the truck, driving northbound, went off the road, hitting the pole and coming to rest in a field.
Armstrong Cable was on scene at 4 p.m. and Central Electric had been notified of the downed pole.
The Herman Fire Department was prepared to keep the road closed for several hours while the utility companies put up a new pole, assistant fire chief Rob Schuler said.
The Central Electric website reported 14 households were without power.
State Police is investigating the crash.
